Hydrolibria conquers gravity flow by adding or even retarding flow with devices.  These images use Ponce DeLeon Inlet, Florida as the example.  First image shows "Base" or natural gravity flow at the peak of the ebb tide, Second image shows flows with 120 m3/sec estimated flow from anchored vessels operating at the throat of the inlet, outside the navigation channel.
